NATIONAL ORGANIZATION
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF BUFFALO SOLDIERS & TROOPERS MOTORCYCLE CLUB
The world's largest African American motorcycle club — founded to honor the legacy of the 9th and 10th Cavalry Buffalo Soldiers through community service, education, and the brotherhood of the road.
THE FOUNDING
Kenneth "Dream Maker" Thomas founded the Buffalo Soldiers & Troopers Motorcycle Club of Chicago in October of 1993. His desire was to establish a modern and progressive motorcycle club whose focus was to promote a positive image among African Americans that would be respected in the community and across the country.
The name Buffalo Soldiers was initially selected to pay homage to and ensure the legacy of African American military contributions in the post Civil War era. Under the leadership of Kenneth Thomas, the new club was chartered as the Buffalo Troopers Motorcycle Club of Chicago. Membership grew to ninety-two (92) during that first year, making it the largest African American motorcycle club in Chicago.
The NABSTMC was formally formed in 1999 with the Chicago Chapter recognized as the mother chapter of the organization, and Kenneth "Dream Maker" Thomas as its first National President.

GROWTH & MISSION
The club has grown to over 110 chapters nationwide, including Hawaii, as well as internationally in Germany and South Korea. Each chapter proudly serves in their respective communities to display goodwill as we ride our motorcycles — which we refer to as our "iron horses."
We have the common mission to educate on the rich history of the 9th and 10th Cavalry of the Buffalo Soldiers who served in the U.S. Army from 1866 to 1944.
The NABSTMC is a private not-for-profit organization that provides donations to local and national tax-exempt charities whose mission is harmonious with the NABSTMC. We do not discriminate based on race, gender, political or religious affiliation, nor do we claim any territory.
Honoring the legacy of the 9th and 10th Cavalry Buffalo Soldiers who served with distinction.
Serving our communities with goodwill, charity, and a commitment to positive change.
Educating the public on the rich history of the Buffalo Soldiers and their contributions.
